pastor TIM + first lady SHANTE BALDWIN
Pastor Tim Baldwin was born in Philadelphia, PA, to Robert Samuel and Jeanne Baldwin. Growing up in West Philadelphia, Pastor Tim was a student of the Philadelphia School District and graduated from University City High School in 1989. Shortly thereafter in 1994, Pastor Tim accepted Christ as his savior. In 2001, he accepted the call to ministry under the leadership of Bishop Eric A. Lambert, II Pastor of Bethel Deliverance International Church where he faithfully served as Youth Pastor from 2004-2008 and Assistant Pastor from 2008-2010. He attended Eastern’s School of Christian Ministry, where he graduated in 2008. Following his studies there, he attended CityNet Ministries’ LAMPhilly Program, where he studied Urban Missional Theology and earned a Certificate in Church Planting and is currently Attending Palmer Theological Seminary at Eastern University where he is well on his way to earning a Master’s of Divinity.
Pastor Tim is an avid student of the Word and is always seeking to implement out of the box methods of making the Word practical in order to engage the culture and influence the largely unchurched populous. He has an innate passion for young people, and he desires to see them maximize their full potentials in the things of God. Working with juvenile inner city youth for over 13 years enables him now to connect with, and pour into the lives of, what society deems as some of the most undeserving, young men. This experience has proved to be fruitful in his current pastoral context. Pastor Tim is the Pastor of BDIC’s planted church, Bethel Deliverance Church Northeast, a church where God reigns and where Jesus is glorified!
He believes in family first, as he is very family oriented, and has a passion for blended families. Pastor Tim was united in Holy matrimony to Shante Baldwin in 2004. They have 3 beautiful children: Terik, Zaahir and Nevaeh.
Bethel Deliverance Church had it's beginnings in 1987. God's instructions to Bishop Eric A. Lambert, II were simple: "Find a building, and start a church." With a small group of seven committed believers, Bishop Lambert, sought the Lord concerning His will for the development of the church and led the congregants to a small office complex. Bethel's first formal service was held on Palm Sunday in 1988. Since it's inception, Bethel has spread the good news of Jesus Christ through Evangelism and Discipleship development. While Bethel continued to grow, the need to further expand the sphere of influence and enlarge the vision Bishop Lambert accepted the Apostolic call to plant churches. Bishop Lambert was led to plant seven ministries and have successfully planted four. A ministry in Norristown PA, Camden NJ, North Philadelphia and Bethel Northeast where this congregation continues to experience pronominal growth while caring for an exuberant group of young believers. Lead by Pastor Tim and Lady Shante Baldwin, Bethel Northeast is a church that ministers to the inner needs of every believer we encounter. Pastor Tim's heart is that Bethel Northeast will create an environment of grace that leads to Forgiveness and Freedom, Relationship that leads to Connection and Community, Ownership that leads to Contribution, Worth that leads to Value along with spiritual, emotional and mental security. Pastor Tim and the leadership at Bethel Deliverance Church-Northeast is committed to advancing the Kingdom.
